Dec 10
Sacramento Winter High School Tournament
This competition is taking place on Saturday, December 21 at Churchill Middle School in Carmichael. Bay Area teams may compete but must wait until 12PM on Friday to register (in order to give Sacramento-area teams time to register first).
Registration takes place here
Entry fee info is here; please write out any checks to Churchill IB/PTO.
We have exhausted the available IS-A sets which means we will use IS-190 for both divisions; JV teams should be aware that these questions are a bit tougher. (The website currently states that we are using IS-185A for JV but that is incorrect).
Dec 05
Sacramento Winter MS Tournament
This competition is taking place on Saturday, January 11 at Cavitt Junior High School in Granite Bay. We will have separate Varsity/JV Divisions; teams may have a maximum of six members.
Bay Area schools may compete but must wait until 12PM on Monday, December 23 to register (to provide Sacramento teams an opportunity to sign up first).
This competition will use NAQT MS-33. We plan to use this set in the Bay Area but have yet to confirm the date/location for that event.
Entry fee info can be found here. Please write out any checks to Cavitt Junior High School
Registration takes place on the NAQT website here.

Registration for Cal Cup #2 is now open
Cal Cup #2 is taking place on Saturday, January 18 at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View. We expect to announce the date/location of Cal Cup #3 and #4 very soon. The field cap for CC2 is 18 for Competitive, 18 for Standard, and 20 for Novice. All teams, including package teams, must fill out this registration form.
Tuesday, January 14 is the last date to register. In addition, all teams (including package teams) must have a roster posted on that date; teams that do not have a roster posted will be dropped from the field. CC2 is using LOGIC for Competitive+Standard and SCOP Novice for Novice.
Teams may pay in advance (either their entire amount or a non-refundable deposit of $10) by PayPal to Alvin Huang => https://www.paypal.me/AlvinQuizBowl [Please indicate your team name+letter(s)!]. The entry fee is refundable (minus the $10 deposit minus any late drop fees). Cal Cup #2 is the last opportunity for teams to purchase the package.
Starting with Cal Cup #2 we are changing how we process registrations.
